We are seeking donations for our 3rd Annual “Rockin’ Voices of Hope” Fundraiser. The proceeds will benefit LOSS- Loved Ones Suicide Survivors. We provide free, peer led Support Groups for those bereaved by a Suicide loss. These are held twice monthly at Intermountain Medical Center.
Suicide is the leading cause of death in Utah for age groups 10yrs to 17yrs old and 17yrs to 24yrs old. (Data collected by the CDC and is age group specific) The Intermountain West has the highest Suicide rate in the Nation for all age groups. It is estimated that, on average, 145 people are impacted by each Suicide loss. For those bereaved by this type of traumatic death navigating their grief is painful and complicated. It is reported that this population, family and friends, are at higher risk for negative outcomes including a higher risk for Suicide.
